Mekong Delta Discovery – Pedal scenic backroads to Caibe, cruise to Can Tho Island, and visit local artisans making coconut candy, rice paper, and popped rice.
Floating Markets to Borderlands – Visit Cai Rang floating market, cycle through rice fields to Chau Doc, and take a boat up the Mekong River to Phnom Penh.
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Can Tho 30km+ (L)
We’ll meet at your hotel in Saigon and have a quick transfer to Cai Lay. Then, we’ll take back roads to Cai Be, where we’ll board a boat to Can Tho Island. We’ll visit local artisans and watch coconut candy making, rice paper making, and puffed rice making. Afterward, we’ll enjoy lunch on the island and explore the capital of the Mekong Delta. You’ll stay overnight in Can Tho.
Day 2: Can Tho – Chau Doc 35km+ (B, L, D)
After an early breakfast, you’ll take a boat trip to the famous Cai Rang floating market before cycling to Phong Dien. From there, you’ll have a short transfer before we begin cycling toward Chau Doc. Along the way, you’ll pass rice fields and spot water buffalo near the road. We’ll arrive in Chau Doc around sunset. Those with energy to spare can climb Sam Mountain for a stunning view. We’ll enjoy dinner and stay overnight in Chau Doc.
Day 3: Chau Doc – Phnom Penh (B)
After an early breakfast, we’ll catch a boat up the Mekong River to Phnom Penh. At the Chau Doc pier, you’ll say goodbye to your tour guide and bike before cruising up the Bassac River for approximately 1.5 hours to the Cambodian border. Your guide will assist with immigration formalities.
